Do I need to install an app to tune?
No. Open the tuner or metronome here. Safari or Chrome. If you want an icon, use Share → Add to Home Screen. The iPhone app is there when you want record and journal.
Can I use this as a guitar tuner?
Yes. It’s chromatic, so it hears any note — guitar and bass included. Open the tuner, allow the mic, play each string.
